Ireland's greatest folk artist, Luke Kelly, will never be forgotten. More than 20 years after his death, Luke Kelly is a sore loss to the world of folk music. On June 30, 1980, at a concert in Cork, Luke collapsed on stage with what turned out to be a brain tumour. It is said that the whole of Dublin grieved his early death in January 1984.

But renowned balladeer Brian Roebuck is making sure that the songs and music of Luke Kelly live on in the world of folk enthusiasts. He is fronting a series of concerts along with present day traditional legends Gerry O'Connor (banjo) of Four Men & A Dog, Dezi Donnelly (fiddle), Mick O'Brien (flutes & uillian pipes), Pat Kelleher (long neck banjo) & Marcus Moloney (tenor banjo),……. a mesmerizing mix of wholesome crusty bread!!!

Brian Roebuck's latest album..

........"A Song For Luke".. is a tribute to his lifelong inspiration and mentor, Luke Kelly .

The album was recorded live on stage in Cork and has been acclaimed  in 'Irish Music Magazine' , June 2005
